Under Construction... and probably always will be.
My husband and I have been married for four years. We currently have a one year old daughter and a four year old Beagle. We live in a cozy rental house in a rather crowded neighborhood and hope that this will be just another stepping stone on our journey to having our own farm.
In the four years that we have been married, we have participated in couples' Bible studies, attended marriage conferences and retreats, read books, and done a LOT of growing. Although my husband was initially hesitant to attend and participate in courses because his frame of mind, I assume like most men, told him that if it's not broke, don't fix it. My thinking was more along the lines of building a collection of tools so that when the pipe does break we're already well prepared as to how to go about fixing it.
Today, we have a strong relationship with a solid foundation that we plan to continue to build on for many years to come. I still struggle on a daily basis with being an obedient wife in the Biblical sense, not what most people interpret that to mean today. I am so grateful to have married the man that I did and I thank God for him everyday.
